The Specific Features Of Night Vision CCTV

Night vision CCTV cameras at the certain level of light exposure can pass from a daytime (colour) mode of supervision to night mode, which is black-and-white. For switching between modes of supervision next ways are used.

Easy day-night cameras - in this case in the camera of supervision the colour matrix with the fixed IK-filter is established. When the light exposure on the object decreases to the certain limit, the camera starts to form a black-and-white signal, which turns out by addition of components on channels R, G, B. Due to it sensitivity of the chamber becomes a little bit above. Nevertheless, at the low light exposure and at IK- illumination such camera of supervision is not effective, as does not possess the sensitivity in the IK-range.

The manufacturers of the equipment for systems of security supervision tried to solve this problem different ways, down to parallel installation of colour and monochrome cameras. As a result there are "day-night" cameras, which allow receiving a qualitative colour picture during from daybreak up to the last twilight in the evening, and not less qualitative black-and-white image at night, having expanded with that functionalities of video observations systems.

Disconnected IK-filter - such camera of "day-night" supervision uses a colour matrix as a sensitive element also, but the IK-filter established before it can automatically move. Due to it at the certain threshold value of light exposure the chamber of supervision passes from the colour mode in a black-and-white mode (when the IK-filter is removed). In a black-and-white mode due to the absence of the IK-filter the chamber of supervision becomes sensitive to IK-radiation, therefore complete with IK-illumination such chamber can be used for round-the-clock supervision over the objects.

Such equipment has been created on the basis of colour cameras with a little bit modified engine. In qualitative colour cameras the IK opaque filter is used for cutting off near IK-area of the spectrum deforming a colour rendition from the general optical stream. This filter represents the thin plainly parallel plate pasted on integument glass of the matrix. At the restoration of a level of light exposure the filter is entered back, and the camera gives out the image in colours.
